Wilcox Bakery is a small family business that concentrates on producing quality hand crafted cakes, pastries and pies. The business was set up by myself (Steph) and my husband Rob in 1984. We were both 18 years old. We started up originally to earn enough money to visit an uncle in Australia. We made home made cakes in my mother in laws kitchen and then sold them at Bourne Market (Lincs). Our recipes came from family members, friends and then customers.

We use local suppliers for most of our ingredients. For example our meat is from butchers in Coningsby and Ruskington.

We add no preservatives and our products are baked on the day, ready for delivery.

My sister has just moved to Billingborough and so it happens, her local store stocks Wilcox cakes! It’s now become routine to visit the store simply for Wilcox cakes before I even make it into her house..! They’re amazing, they hit the mark EVERY time. And yesterday I found they also do rum truffles! That’s the whole family happy now 😁 Just perfect 👌🏼

Tried there steak and Stilton pie Sausage meat pie Caramelised sausage rolls must say steak and Stilton pie was extremely tasty sausage meat pie was also fab could taste the pepper and the caramelised sausage rolls where heavenly and what made it even better we got all at reduced price will definetly have again just pasties and chicken pie left to try

I bought a tray of Wilcox coconut tarts(one of my favourite cakes) yesterday from Leagate farm shop . They are absolutely lovely , possibly the nicest commercial ones I've ever tasted . The shortness of the pastry with the moist ,slightly chewy texture of the coconut topping balanced with a nice amount of jam makes for a delicious treat . I will certainly buy again .
